The Journey
“Our son Max was invited by his Step Grandmother to visit Kenya with her and other grandchildren, in aid of The Nasio Trust Charity. Prior to his visit he was set the task to raise some money for The Nasio Trust. His younger sister, Pandora, took it upon her self to help her big brother! Unknown to us, this would turn into a obsessive passion that would drive her to achieve things that we never thought she could achieve. This is Pandora’s journey …”

December 2025 - A song & a puppet show
For Christmas Pandora got a puppet, she decided to sit at the bottom of our drive and for a donation, offer a song and a puppet show to passers by. To this day we do not know what the song was, but it did raise a small amount of money for her cause. This gave her the determination to carry on - for two solid days she refused to come in and sat there in the cold raising what she could for her brother.
January 2026 - Time for Hot Chocolate
Come January 2026, Pandora wanted to carry on raising money on weekends at the bottom of the drive. Seeing her determination and resilience and to save the public from any more songs we suggested a hot chocolate stand. Other the following weekends we watched people stop for a hot chocolate and cars pull over to kindly donate. She had raised at this point £107 for the Nasio trust!
The Big Day - 25th Jan
Pandora’s weekend fundraiser for her brother Max, was coming to an end as he was heading off to Kenya. One final push with her hot chocolate stand! I wanted to say thank you to the local community for supporting her so popped a thank you post on the Abingdon Facebook group. The post rapidly gained popularity with many well wishers. People then started turning up to have a hot chocolate and donate. We have had a huge response and the kindest comments and drivebys and most importantly have raised over £540 for The Nasio Trust, more than we ever imagined was possible, with donantions still coming in - thank you!
What’s Next
A small spark has turned into a big flame! Pandora is now determined to raise £2000 this year for charities that resonate with her. We are creating a platform to support her in her efforts and can’t wait to see what ideas she comes up with. Your support is greatly appreciated and we would also love to hear your thoughts and ideas, so please do get in touch using the contact us page.
